Cross-handle fixture w. Ø200 Spout

It is hardly surprising that Danish architects such as Henning Larsen and Jørn Utzon – known for their simple and sculptural visual language – swore by the Cross-handle tap. As its name suggests, it is characterized by an unpretentious, cross-shaped handle which, over time, has become a fixture in many of their world-renowned buildings. It is not exactly known where the design for the Cross-handle was born. Over time, other manufacturers have launched their own versions. At TONI Copenhagen, we stick to the original handle as designed, as seen at Marienlyst Castle in Helsingør, at Churchill College in Cambridge and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark in Riyadh. All of TONI Copenhagen products are manufactured in solid brass, regardless of their finish. Additionally, many of the integral components are produced locally in Denmark and assembled by hand in our factory in Frederiksberg. Solid, dependable and effortlessly luxurious – hand-polished brass is a living material that gracefully patinates over time with use. You can always easily polish up your TONI fixture with Brazzo for a fresh, shiny look. Products with a treated surface are more stable in their appearance and therefore, should not be polished. Depending on the hardness of the groundwater in your area, we recommend that you have your fixture serviced every 5 years by a qualified plumber. For best results, we suggest you clean your TONI Copenhagen product with warm soapy water and refrain from abrasive cleaning methods such as acidic detergents, steel wool or scouring sponges.

Iconic design since 1918

All TONI Copenhagen products are produced in solid brass, regardless of the surface finish. The majority of the components are produced locally in Denmark and assembled and processed by hand at the factory in Frederiksberg. The hand-polished brass is a living material and will change over time according to use. You can always easily polish your TONI Copenhagen fixture with Brasso if you want a shiny new look. Products with a treated surface are stable in their appearance and thus cannot be polished. The Danish groundwater is very calcareous, and we therefore recommend that you have your fitting serviced every 5 years by an authorized plumber. Please clean your TONI Copenhagen product with warm soapy water and never use acidic cleaning agents, steel wool or scouring pads for cleaning.
